What is DOORS?
The DOORS (Disability Outreach Offering Resources through Service) initiative is a collaboration between the Points of Light Foundation, volunteer centers, nonprofit organizations and organizations serving veterans and individuals with disabilities.
Our goal is to improve the lives of individuals with disabilities, especially veterans, through volunteer opportunities that promote financial empowerment.
What is Economic Empowerment?
Activities that lead to improved employment and economic status.
Who Can Volunteer for the Program?
This program is specifically for individuals with disabilities, especially veterans. An individual is considered to have a "disability" if they have a physical or mental impairment that limits one or more major life activities.
