Recycling Drop Off Center Program

The Board of County Commissioners established a network of Residential Recycling Drop-off Centers throughout the County. These Centers are sponsored and operated by local community civic and beneficent organizations. All income from the sale or recyclables collected at these Centers goes directly to the sponsoring organization.

The Recycling Centers are equipped to accept:

  • Newspaper - including glossy inserts, no magazines, phone books or junk mail.
  • Aluminum and Steel cans - please rinse to deter bees and wasps. Crush if possible.
  • Glass bottles and jars - made of clear, brown and green glass. Please rinse bottles.
  • Plastic milk and soda bottles - (recycle symbols #1 and #2) rinse bottles, discard lids and crush if possible.
  • Cardboard - broken down, clean and dry (Beverly Hills Plaza, Lecanto Government Bldg., Landfill, W.T.I. and West Citrus Community Center).
